I should be around on Steam this evening at 19:00 BST if anyone wants to have a go at the SoW mission.

The Storm of War server is now up 24/7 with the Monte Casino mission, which has CAS, recon and bomber escort, so I guess when Razy has the WW2 asset pack we'll go on there for our on the job training.

Best keep an eye out for the next sale on the DCS marketplace. Thankfully they're not using the WW2 map, so I am not required to get that for the time being, but I will buy it at some point.

Storm of War is now using a mod pack to add more stuff to the missions:
Philstyle wrote:Hi all,
This weekend (09-12 NOV) the server will be running a test version of the WW2 mod pack that we are looking at using.
If you are keen to check it out, here's what you need to do:
1. Download the mod-pack from this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YOKcO72HlGXHmOa2o-ii8Uk5vveb-YT6/view
2. Save the downloaded zip file to your DCS SAVED GAMES FOLDER. (usually under C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Saved Games\DCS open beta
3. Use your favorite archive tool to "Extract HERE", so that the *Mods* folder and all its sub folders and files of the zip extract at that location
4. Join the server. The password will be sow11
5. play the mission and report and major bugs or craziness you identify here on the forum
ABOUT THE MOD PACK:
The mod pack is around 500MB. It contains the following:
3 (possibly 4) A.I. twin engined aircraft (B26, Ju88, C47, B24) by the WW II Aircraft Development Co-op (WW II ADC )
A number of WW2 period ships, mostly for the allies also by the WW II Aircraft Development Co-op (WW II ADC )
2 x driveable versions of vehicles by Sunstag (kubelwagen and Willys Jeep) for tactical commanders
An Italian Bf109 Skin by =TIA=PorcoRosso86

I hope our CAS helped in your Post Scriptum match, Hinkel.
There seems to be a train in the first picture, Razy - not sure if that was just an ambient one from the track file, or if we actually missed a perfectly good train on our way back to base.

I saw some spitfire's doing a flyby yesterday so guess you did a good job as we won that match.
There was a lot of teamplay and good fun yesterday.
