IL2:GB Squadron Skins
Here are the download links for our custom squadron skins, I've decided to split the pack in two, with one featuring the personal RAF skins (for the Spitfire and Kittyhawk, Boston/Havoc and Airacobra), and another with the generic Soviet squadron skins for the Soviet aircraft.

Squadron Aircraft Codes:
QV-C - Hinkel/Conflict
QV-D - Speedy77
QV-F - MJDixon (Bomber)
QV-G - Scram77
QV-J - MJDixon (Fighter)
QV-S - Skip19
QV-Z - Razy
to install, place the 'data' folder inside your IL2 root folder (i.e. Program Files\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Moscow).

Re: IL2:GB Squadron Skins
I've fixed the Kittyhawks so that they're not super glossy anymore.

Download links in the first post have been updated.
While I'm here, does anyone have any nose art designs they'd like me to put on their Boston when the skin template is released?

Got my crayons out.
I'm better at painting computerised aeroplanes it seems.

Re: IL2:GB Squadron Skins
Taa.
I've updated the download link to include the skins for the Boston/Havoc as well as the Airacobra, I've also redone the Kittyhawks so that they better match the other fighter paint schemes/markings, also as we have a lot of skins now I've converted the skins to 2k resolution rather than 4k, which saves a lot of space (416 MB vs 1340 MB!) for no noticable drop in quality.

Re: IL2:GB Squadron Skins
I, Lt. Razkolnikov, hereby submit the attached nose art to the Ministry of Crayons for review. I shall wait to hear the Arch-Crayoneer's appraisal regarding its suitability for the Amerikanski A-20 bomber.
I also hope the artwork is to the liking of comrade Stalin. It is to be announced at the Party Congress on Sunday. As you know, the Premier loves surprises...

Re: IL2:GB Squadron Skins
I had to move the text and change the colour to get it to fit / contrast against the background:
Also did a legally different not Fallout RAF version.

I suppose the alternate version is as if Group Captain Lionel Mandrake was the one riding the bomb instead of Major T. J. "King" Kong!

Not surprised he lost his leg then.

Re: IL2:GB Squadron Skins
Is it possible to fit one of them on my P-40? Is there room for something like that and would it be too much hassle? Let's go with RAF Pip-boy for the A-20 and Slim Pickens for the Warhawk (if it fits)

I guess he'd get a comradely ushanka for the winter skin?

Re: IL2:GB Squadron Skins
He would if the winter skin wasn't just the normal day bomber skin with winter white wash dumped lazily over the top of it.

Re: IL2:GB Squadron Skins
RAF Skin Pack updated with Spitfire Mk. IXe skins for myself (presumably I'm still the only one with BoBp?):
Day Fighter:
Invasion:
Post-Invasion:
Winter (Eastern Front):
Desert:
And before anyone says it, I've already fixed the misaligned tail flash.
