Building new gaming PC
I'm building a new gaming computer, and will be using the Win7 64bit OS,...or planning on using it at the moment.
Are there any special issues I need to be aware of as I build my new computer?
My list of hardware is:
Asus Rampage III Black Edition
Intel Core i7-990X Extreme CPU
Corsair H60 Liquid CPU Cooler
Corsair Dominator GT, DDR3, 2000MHz, PC3-16000, 12GB(3x4GB)Kit
WD Cavier Black WD1002FAEX, 1TB, 7200 rpm, SATA 6.0GB/s(2x RAID-0) ; or I might just go with one
Asus GeForce GTX 590
Windows 7 64bit OS
Any ideas that might be helpful for my build would be great. I just want it to run WWII Online as well as other games and flight sims. I have not bought the hardware yet, but these items above are what I have picked to buy. Thank you for any helpful ideas any of you may have.

Well that looks like a positive BEAST ! You might try posting it in the support forums though as there will be several players who can help you out. Personally I'd say you'll have no problems with WWIIOnline with that. I cant speak for other games really. Ive recently played Bioshock 2 the Dragon Age series and Call of Duty 2 on a much lower spec PC without problems so Icant see you having trouble.
Meanwhile Welcome back to the game and we will see you in the skies soon !

Well here it is, I hope when I get all the parts and put her together she'll run real good for me. I understand she may be hot, so I may have to cooler down some, but I can do that as needed. I'll monitor the temps as I go.

S!
The last item arrived Friday July 15, the CPU. I went with an Intel i7-970 3.20GHz 12MB LGA1366 CPU, rather than the i7-990X, due to cost. It should do just about the same job. I'll start the build this weekend.

Hey Carolina, have built a few PCs myself over the years. I used to be obsessive but it wasn't good for the bank balance lol. I'm really not clued up on the current gear but your rig sounds like it will be awesome. Have fun building it and hope to see you in game soon.
Here is a link to a thread showing off my current build. Put it together about 8 months ago: http://forums.battlegroundeurope.com/showthread.php?t=311105
