Logged in, met Dezey, was added to squad in game (and the crowd goes wild).

Not much air action reported, saw several AOs up on Gent bridges. Nearest AF is Lille/RAF, lifted Havoc to bomb S bridge, using low alt/manual release (200 ft/280 mph).

Flew 5 sorties:
1st - most of bombs missed, having serious trouble keeping aircraft under control, not sure why, crashed after bomb release. +5
2nd - discovered joystick plugged in halfway, reset it and aircraft flying fine. All eggs on target. +30
3rd - all eggs on target, bridge destroyed. Saw con high east, AWS toggle shows yellow, took evasives, no pursuit +30
4th - Changed targets to next bridge N. I dropped one egg on eastern span, near UMS and a friendly sapper, remainder on western span +30
5th - dropped all eggs on western span, bridge destroyed. +30

Currently 208/750 towards rank 5 (Sergeant) in RAF.

Will log in for training as soon as I get home (will likely be 930 or so GMT).

nice report - I'll try and get on, now that the Festivities have finished and we are back in a normal routine (pretty much!).

I'll jump on TeamSpeak and find out where you are, maybe go in the training server if you like!

That would be great, dojo. I'm really rusty with my basic ACM, and evasives in a bomber are way different from what I need to be doing in a Spitfire. I'd prefer to practice in the training server, where I won't embarrass the squadron (lol).

lol no problems.

i took a havoc up last night, aiming to drop some angry bombs on an 88 gun that had killed my tank - ran into a stuka on the way in who shot at me, then a 109 behind him who shot at me (and I shot back at him) then got zapped by AAA on the ground. Angry at being dead and not dropping any bombs, but checked my stats and got a 109 kill

next Havoc sortie in, saw a big low lumbering bird off to the west - nipped over to see what it was, turned out to be a JU52!

Went on and dropped my bombs on the Wetteren, got killed by the same AAA gun.

funny thing is, took a Spit 2 next time, and someone told me there was a 232 near the airfield so I strafed him and got the kill - 2 Air to Air kills in a Havoc and a ground kill in a Spit! (I also gave away an AFK kill to bersi of all people, but never mind!)
