Sunday the 17th of April 1941
First time we've had guncam recordings from everyone, so jolly good.
Some observations from the Guncam, Hinkel and Speedy - I notice that when you're firing you seem to yaw a lot (which is especially noticable for me, as when you yaw the cockpit frame moves a lot, which makes it harder to do the guncam), I presume that this is because you aren't lined up properly when you initially open fire, and so have to make quite large adjustments to lead your guns on to target, so maybe try making smaller adjustments farther out rather than large adjustments up close.
Razy, you need to use more lead in your deflection shots, as a lot of your side attacks fell behind the target, other than that you did well in non deflection, as seen by the burning Heinkel.
I'm thinking for head on attacks we might be better coming in from 1 or 11 o'clock, rather than directly head on, as that way you can fire ahead of the target and let them fly into your sight, then continue behind them in a single movement - where as with a direct head on attack you have to fire then break away to avoid a collision, which doesn't leave much room for aiming.

i still struggle with my joystick and pedals set up. Can't really seem to set them up right to be as smooth as possible. that's why i sometimes try to correct my aim but yaw way to much.

Noted, thanks MJ.
I was very conscious not to fly into any the bomber this time, so I was deliberately firing from further out than normal. Also after the first or second attacks I took damage and my plane was shaking a buffeting which made aiming that much harder, I'm not sure if that was apparent in the track file.

Ah, gone are the days when I used to be good at deflection shooting in IL-2 1946. Of course, different game, different times xD
I agree on the 11 or 1 approach. Avoiding a collision from those angles is as simple as pulling up early enough, and the required deflection is managable.
Perhaps we could do interweaving attacks in a ... "pretzel" pattern. It's the Pretzel ACM!
