Three Bridges Too Far

Elements of the ROK are trapped in a salient north of the DMZ.  Three Armoured Brigades of the DPRK are pushing them from the west, and 19 Squadron are tasked with destroying three bridges to slow these forces down.

The three bridges are - 

Chuksan




Wondomal



and Chungsan-ni.


All bridges have AAA defense, and there is a single SA-3 site west of Wonomal bridge, and two SA-2 sites west and north of the bridges.

There is also a DPRK Mig 29 Squadron sited west of the bridges.

Take off is from Mandumi airstrip, and we'll be equipped with 2 x Aim-120, 2 GBU's and 2 AGM-88 HARMs.





Steerpoint 3 is the US Patriot system, and will be our point of entry and exit.  At SP 4 we'll be at angels 22, one ship will be designated shooter and the other two will be on the alert for SAM and AA threats.

Sentry 1-1 will be available for AWACS.  No Bags on this flight, so watch the fuel - no AB unless absolutely necessary.

Sounds good Skip, just a couple of things..

1. As we are going very close to the SA-3 site could we get a target steerpoint on it?

2. I notice no AIM-9s

3. I'll try to watch some training vids during work time about LGBs 

1 - It should show up in the HAD when you have your HARM profile up.
2 - We should be able to keep any Migs off us BVR - 6 AIM 120's should deter most aggressors, plus we can always run to the Patriot site if needed.
3 - It's pretty straight forward - don't forget to arm your Laser switch (it's above the Master Arm switch).  I'll talk through what I'm doing on the first run.
