I had a hoot I must say. There was something different going on. We were more aggressive in our flying for one and cannons would def have changed some of the outcomes. But it was loads of fun, exciting scraps and lots of excellent banter.

lol, it was fun. mostly. (trees and head ons excepted)
The reason we took off from the airfield is because, you shouldn't be getting bounced on the deck from cons who are at 10,000 feet - if they try and bounce you, they are either going too fast (so you can out turn them easily) or they have to blow all their energy to get on you, which takes ages, by which time you should be on the deck turnfighting near your own airfield = win.
naive of me to expect you all to know this, so I accept responsibilty for it, but really no one should be getting shot down there. all you have to do is check your 6, time your breaks and job's a good un. Also, when you were shot down hinkel you were at about 2,000 feet, when I clearly said on the deck.
The point I was making with our aggressive stance last night was to show how we can shoot down 109s when we put our minds to it - all we have to do now is find a happy medium between aggression and caution and we'll be sorted. Also cannons for the win.
