Finally a new PC
Just ordered the components for my new PC They should arrive towards the end of next week. Once it's built and up and running I should be able to don my SC spacesuit again!

Re: Finally a new PC
Here you go:
Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Socket 1151 6MB L3 Cache
Gigabyte GA-Z170MX-GAMING 5 Socket Intel LGA1151 mATX Motherboard
HyperX Fury Black 8GB (4GB x2) DDR4 2133MHz CL 14 Memory
MSI GTX 970 GAMING Twin Frozr V 4GB GDDR5
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 2.5inch SSD
WD Blue 2TB 3.5" SATA Hard Drive
Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO 3 CPU Air Cooler
Thermaltake Versa H15 M-atx Gaming Case With Side Window Usb3 Black Interior
Couldn't quite justify stretching to an i7 at the moment, but the board will allow that in future, and also more RAM in due course. I'll take the power supply from my current PC which isn't that old.
It should cope with most current games and my CAD software and have an upgrade path.

Sounds like a winner, Speedy!
Should even meet the required specifications for the Oculus Rift if you're interested in that sort of thing, which is more than I can say for mine.

Re: Finally a new PC
My new PC is coming on nicely. It's all built and together, I just need to switch it on and install everything.
If everything goes well (meaning if it doesn't blow up when I switch it on), I should be up and running for Sunday or next Tuesday at the latest.
