Logged in after work at 345pm Eastern (2045 GMT), none of the squadron about.
Checked objectives and asked about enemy air activity. Almost no Luftwaffe in the air I was told ("lone 109 that keeps coming back every time we shoot him down")

Decided to bomb another bridge that had attack order on it. Setting up for the roll over and dive from 3k, I saw that HC had just pulled the destroy order. (sigh) I bombed the bridge anyway for practice, two direct hits. RTB without issue. Saw two yellow radar grids adjacent to our airfield, lifted in a Spit2 to look for enemy. Climbed to 15k, saw nothing though I orbited thru the entire square. Descended in steps all the way to 3k, saw no enemy air units at all. Having wasted 40 minutes of my life and feeling irritated, I landed just in time to hear the airfield AAA open fire. Saw no ea, and air radar was clear. Waited a bit, but nothing more happened, so I chalked it up to drunken AI gunners messing with my head.

Took a break to eat dinner, watched a WW2OL video on YouTube (one of Squidrd's old AAA movies). I studied it frame by frame for aiming tips, and think I have it figured out now. Logged back in, still no squaddies. I spawned a Bofors and parked by the FB to take pot shots at any ea over town.

Fifteen minutes of boredom later, I saw a big crowd of ATGs spawned but no trucks. they were asking for drivers, so I respawned as a Morris and gathered them up. I then flew NOE in my Not-quite-a-Spitfire, dragging the crowd along for the ride. I actually did get a bit of altitude in it several times (it was downhill, and positively littered with berms). While practicing my 'pseudo British typing', I dropped each gun off at the points they requested. I told them each '19 RAF, always happy to help' and most of them took time to thank me for the ride.

Took one round of sniper fire from a hidden ei as I was turning around to RTB. He apparently tried to throw a grenade at me, because a big pile of bushes by a tree suddenly blew up...I swear it made a 'splat' sound with the BOOM and smoke...I figure he blew himself up, but I didn't hang around to find out. Took my Morris back to the spawn and RTB'd it.

Joined the fight in Arielles (or some french town with an A, an R and some Ls in the name anyway). Got shot in the head by a sniper while assaulting the EAB. Respawned myself as a sniper for payback. The enemy sniper was killed by mortar fire before I arrived, but I found a perfectly good Panzer someone had left idling in the AB. It was firing machine guns around with enthusiasm, but everyone seemed to be ignoring it. I walked right up to the back of it and sorted thru my weapons looking for something useful (nothing but smoke grenades). After a minute, the commander unbuttoned his hatch and looked around.

Finally, someone I could kill! I wanted to thank him, but I shot him in the back of the head instead, then smothered the tank in white smoke when the turret started rotating. When people started firing bazookas and grenades into the cloud, I decided to go in a building nearby to get out of the rain (so to speak). Turns out its the AB bunker (it looks way different than I remember it). It's full of dead gray guys and one very trigger happy American SMG. He apologized for trying to riddle me with bullets, and I joined him. Defended the bunker for about a half hour until I got bored, noting that we had the town completely smothered in infantry.

At this point wife started pestering me about Thanksgiving plans, so I logged out for the evening.

I'll be on as soon as I get home from work. It's becoming a routine for me at this point. RAF in the afternoons after work, submarines in the morning before breakfast. Smile

Oh she does...

I get up about 2 hours before her (3am or so), go to work at 7am, come home at 330ish (depending on traffic), log into WW2OL for a bit (longer if squaddies online), get ready for bed around 9pm. In between these periods, we have hubby/wife time, meals, and general merriment. That's weekdays. Weekends we do stuff together on Sat and Sunday mornings, the afternoons and evenings are for hobbies and personal space if we want it.

She is a sports nut, so during the NASCAR/NFL/Tennis Open seasons, she is quite content watching TV without me bothering her (and her shouting at the referees doesn't bother me). Over breakfast she tells me why the Bears are not going to make it to the Superbowl this year (I nod a lot and say 'uh huh'). I tell her why the Mark 14 torpedoes suck so bad in 1941-1943, and why I keep crashing my Spitfire (she nods and says 'uh huh' a lot).

lol

I also made an agreement with my grilfriend. tuesday thursday and sunday it is my game evening so I can fly with you guys or play with my Red orchestra 2 unit.

The rest off the days I spent time with her together. In the weekend I switch a little bit with sometimes gaming sometimes doing this with the gf.

with so many sport on you should have a good amount of time to game.

I also have simular conversations with my girl. I say I just made a nice deflection shot on a 109 and wich blew his wing off ( and scream VICTORY ). she goes uhu. then she screams when there was a nice goal in soccer. then i go uhu Smile

Lol,

I also have similar agreement with my wife. Tuesday, Thursday and Sundays are squad nights and once my daughter is in bed she leaves me be.

The rest of the time is spent with her.....It's a man's world don't you know.

However my wife does sometimes show interest in the game, and has been known to take a spit for spin. So my conversations are like this. She says, "anyone else on?", I say "just MJ", "did you get any kills", I say "no I just got shot down again, and MJ escaped again". Very Happy
