Have you ever watched any of the videos from Zeno's Warbird Drive In? They have awesome stuff, all real material.

I own about ten of them, including 2 of the P47 dvds.

Checked my bookshelf, for P47s I have a pair of DVDs:
Thunderbolt! (has two films 'Ramrod to Emden' and 'P-47 Combat Operations')
How to Fly the P-47 Thunderbolt (covers field assembly of the P47)

I also have a lot of the bomber related ones, especially B-24 and B-25. One of the B-24 ones is a 'how to get your crippled bomber back to base in these situations' kind of film, that uses real world film of battle damaged planes, and what they did to return home. I've watched it ten times at least, and I still hold my breath for some of the landings. The coolest thing was that when I used to fly the planes in Warbirds, everything they show in the films worked in game. I thought that was a testament to the accuracy of their flight model, though I wasn't impressed with their game world.
