sorry I didn't make it on last night
kids being ill and all that
what did I miss? anything exciting, or just more RDP escorts?
Incidentally, I heard a rumour that 617 are going axis next map so we'll be able to be the interceptors instead of the escorters.

Bally bad luck old Man, we had a wizzard time with Fritz.
Speedy, Dezey and I knocked Jerry for six on a few sorties down around Bernkastel-Kues - downed nine of the blighters, mostly 09s but a handfull of 110s, bad luck though, poor old Speedy got a bit close to the ground on one of our scraps and went for a burton.
After that Dezey and I got in the ol' Hurribombers and flew up to Huy, brown jobs said it would be a piece of cake - but I caught a packet from some archie up the jacksie and ended up in the dirt - came in for another run but then three of the yellow nosed swine came along and gave us gyp - forcing me to ditch her by the river.
After that we came back in a pair of Spits to show Jerry what for - saw a chap down low with a sausage guzzler on is tail - we went in to help him but he was turning around too slow - poor sod bought it before we got onto the Hun - who then chucked his crate into the dirt - Dezey claims he flopped out but I reckon he was a cheeky sod looking to get out of trouble, so I gave him a black eye to teach him a lesson.
After that our lads took Huy so we went in and beat up the main street and did a few victory rolls before heading across to Verviers for more trouble - didn't find any sausage guzzlers mind - then we decided to land at Hallschlag to cool down our engines, but Dezey came to grief when he pranged the tower, which brassed him off I can tell you!

Re: sorry I didn't make it on last night
I must give a big HUZZAH ! to Speedy and Mj as all those kills where theirs. Im afraid my gunnery went to hell in a handbasket and I couldnt kill a bally thing. I think it was that last scotch egg I had in the mess. The CO was not best pleased when I pranged the tower and put me on loo cleaning duties inbetween ops. Now Im in the brown and murky in the sky and on the ground. So do me a favour and keep off the "Old Abbotts Crutch Liqueur" for a few days.
