AAR 17/05-43 - Cross Channel Sortie

Finally nailed one of the bastard 190's! And in a lovely twist of fate, it was leearcher/s4murai, the guy who said on 55 he was the best pilot in 19 RAF, he was removed from the Squadron (as he never really flew with us anyway) and went axis. Not long after, he jumped me with 2 other 109s on the deck shooting me down and boasted

i guess i lived up to my claims baeing the better pilot in the squad. a squad is a squad but there will always be individuals with more skill than others within the squad. you kicked me out for that reason when instead you could have made it a EU/US squad with me as recruiter. alas.

I pointed out he had the advantage that time, and we would meet again. He replied

maybe we'll meet again and you'll have the advantage but i'll still come out successful.

Got to love the arrogance of someone that thinks just because they shot someone down it means they're the best Pilot.

I could be flying along in my Spit IX and run into someone flying along at 200mph on the deck coming in to land, tearing him apart - doesn't mean I'm better than him though, just means I was luckier than him on that occasion.
