I am writing from the TV production company responsible for a new 90-minute Channel 4 film on the re-construction of Spitfire N3200, which was crash landed on a French beach on May 26, 1940, by Squadron Leader Geoffrey Stephenson. He managed to escape, but eventually surrendered and spent the rest of the war in Colditz. The plane sank into the sand, but was recovered, in pieces, in the mid 80s. But we are now half way through filming its complete re-build and it will fly once again in the coming months. But we are now looking for material, film, photos, documents and potential interviewees from those far off 1940 days in Duxford and 19 Squadron. If you can help with any contacts, information or material please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
