S! 19 Squadron,

First they came out with "World of Tanks", now they have come out with a similar game "World of Warplanes". I guess it will be run like it's sister website game "World of Tanks". I was just wondering if any of the 19 Squadron have checked out "World of Warplanes" yet. I went to the website and in the top right corner, there is a Join Closed Beta button. I'm just reading about it now, I'm not sure how long they have been working on the new game. I'm just looking into what other computer pilots think of the new game.

Hi Carolina,

Before Skip reads you post I suggest you change 19th Squadron to 19 Squadron. Wink

I can't help you with either of those games, I struggle find time to play WWIIOL and ROF as it is!

It is NOT at all like Rise of Flight or WW2OL. It caters to the 'no joystick' crowd, with more of an arcade feel than a sim feel.

EDIT: I plat WoT with a regular group, and many of them are in the Beta for both WoA and WoS (the naval version). They all complain that the flight is very 'arcade' flavored and that the game is oriented to the PS3/XBox style player who does not use a standard joystick. They say that the control system is actually **tougher** with a joystick.
