Boom and Zoom example video
Here's an (almost) unedited video of me booming and zooming a flight of 6 Albatri (Albatri or Albatroses?) on the Syndicate Realism Server on Friday evening, from first contact to last contact:
It was my intention to place myself in the rising sun for my bounce, but the Albatros flight reversed their course, presumably because they saw me, or they'd reached the end of their patrol leg.
Decided to attack the tail end charlie as he'd be less likely to have cover from the other Albatri in the flight, then afterwards I fired a flare to warn everyone about the big flight of Albatri wandering about (and to mock them. )
The Albatros I attacked had his engine disabled and then made a crash landing (kill confirmed), not sure if I also wounded the Pilot, or if he was just crap at landing.
Shows how fast you can dive in an SE5a without tearing the wings off.
Just a shame I didn't have any wingmen in this situation where I find myself directly above a flight of 6 enemy aircraft in the ideal boom and zoom scout.

I suppose patience does pay off dam it all. Nice bit of stalking there MJ. Binocs eh ? I wondered how people spotted things sometimes lol. By th eway is that how you spot landmarks as well from altitude.
I ventured onto the realism server this am to try out the new PC.(It playes it better than I do atm) First mission was in a Nei er New er you know. The compass is a pain so I was soon totally lost. Shot down a balloon then got killed flying lower to try and work out where the hell I was. Second mission was in a SE 5. Much better compass. Tried to engage a two seater from below. Even though I tried to keep under his tail he still hit me. I got some hits on him and he dived out. Unkown to me he had damaged my engine. About 5 mins later I see in chat Deazey shot down by Franz and my engine dies. Managed to glide back over friendly lines and by sheer luck landed at a runway. Felt a bit cheated by that I must say.
SE5 still wants to go into orbit though and dont have a scooby how the joystick curves work. Could you post yours MJ whan you get a chance ?
Its agreat looking game now with better settings. Very nice to play but what a learning curve ! Still I expect Im on the multiplayer servers a bit too soon lol

Re: Boom and Zoom example video
usually for scouting around I use the mouse wheel to zoom in/change FoV, the Binocular effect is added in later in the video cause it looks better - be nice if they added Binoculars as a part of a personal pack, though I'm not sure of the practicality of using binoculars and flying an aeroplane at the same time.
Here's a screenshot of my pitch response curve for all aircraft, it probably isn't much help though as I think it's just the default one:

My pitch curve for the Se5a looks something like this. Drag the white line so it forms the pink curve. That should stop the tendency to always be nose up.
I'm missing my flying a the moment hopefully be up with you chaps sometime this week.
